Nature, History, and Wine Adventure Tour

Day trip to the monument Madara Rider and a local winery

The country & the local people

First, you’ll travel to the natural phenomenon of the Stone Forest. For thousands of years, nature has been shaping stones into impressive sculptures. Stone columns up to 8-9 meters tall, hollow or dense cylinders, and a large number of individual stones scattered throughout the area have emerged.

Afterwards, you’ll visit the world-famous Madara Rider rock relief, which is roughly as old as Bulgaria itself – over 1,300 years old. It has been a UNESCO World Heritage Site for decades.

A typical Bulgarian lunch will be served in the heart of nature. You’ll enjoy views of vineyards, hazelnut plantations, and the wooded foothills of the Balkan Mountains.

In the village of Blaskovo, you’ll visit a horse stud farm, where you’ll learn a lot about the Lipizener horses. The locals are very proud that a stallion from the stud farm will compete in the Paris Olympic Games.

Finally, you will enjoy three different wines from the Salla winery, which has won several awards at home and abroad.
