Day Trip to Nessebar

Excursion to the Old Town of Nessebar (UNESCO)

Days: Wednesday

The charming Nessebar is settled on a small peninsula. The peninsula is connected by a very narrow strip of land – the main road between the Old Town and the New Town. It is no surprise that the city is under the protection of UNESCO. This is the only open-air museum of its kind.

A day trip to the Old Town of Nessebar is a must in the list of destinations for every tourist in Bulgaria!

Over the centuries different folks have left their marks in Old Nessebar and continue to live now in the architectural masterpieces. Several churches and temples from the Middle Ages, as well as attractive traditional houses, describe the appearance of this ancient region. After a short talk from our German-speaking guide, you will have free time to explore Nessebar on your own. Stroll through various shops, ancient remains, churches and craft workshops … and don’t miss the coast, where you can enjoy a glass of delicious Bulgarian wine in some of the fish restaurants with wonderful views of the Black Sea.
